Testing
ACT
The ACT is NO longer used for admissions into North Dakota colleges and universities. Some out of state schools may still require it. Most scholarships do require an ACT score. Those students needing it for scholarship purposes are encouraged to take the ACT the end of their junior year and a second or third time as seniors. Statistically, students can raise their scores 1-2 points just by retaking it. If they study from an ACT test prep book, they can improve 3-4 points. Some colleges and scholarships, super score which means they take the highest scores from each section. For example, if a student got an 22 in English and then later got a 23, the super score would be 23. We do not give the ACT at DP. Students can select Devils Lake or Grand Forks. Fee waivers are available for all DP students.
